What Am I Doing???

Today was the first time I attempted to do cell cultures 'on my own.' My technique was horrible, I got bubbles in the medium (which are a no-no), and I had the most difficult time with hemocytometry. On top of that, they had to explain everything to me 2 or 3 times (the language barrier didn't help, either). And if asked to do it again, I still wouldn't be able to repeat the steps flawlessly.

And that was just day one.

Would someone please tell me what the people were thinking who chose me for this?
